Linda Beck has been a REALTOR/BROKER for 29 years, beginning in South Carolina, where she also obtained her GRI* designation. She was active in residential, commercial and real estate exchange in South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina before moving here to Crested Butte in the summer of 1989. She and her husband, Allen, visited the area in 1987 and again in 1988 and immediately fell for the open spaces, peaks and valleys. Once she was licensed in Colorado, she added her CRS* designation and is currently the only active local member of that elite national group. She has twice been president of the Gunnison Country Association fo Realtors and served as board officer from 1990-2000. She was chosen REALTOR of the Year in 1998. She has been a member of the Crested Butte Board of Zoning and Architectural Review for 11 years and has served as its Chairperson for the last 5 years. She enjoys the outdoors, with hiking, snowshoeing and skiing on her list of activities. She is active in community projects, from music to historical preservation and is a volunteer DJ for KBUT, the local public radio station.
