Melanie has lived in Crested Butte since 1991 after her formative years in St Louis, Missouri attending Clayton High School & the University of Missouri while working with her family-owned real estate development & management company. Spending time with her family in the Mid-West & with her extended family in CB is high on her priority list! Winters brought Melanie to Colorado in 1976 for annual family ski trips but summers keep her here with gorgeous cool summer nights & the prolific wildflowers that splash the mountainsides.

Melanie is highly involved in the real estate community in Gunnison County, as the head chair of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) Committee & Office Manager of Slate River Real Estate. Her background in caretaking, personal assistance & property management has given Melanie broad-based specialty skills & exposure that provide a strong foundation to her career as a full-service real estate agent in this wonderful resort community.

Melanie enjoys spending time outside skiing, backpacking, fly fishing, camping & riding horses. She spends free time as a back-country horseback guide, photographer and community volunteer.
